For Your Information - Williamstown Elementary School PTO

PARENTS as PARTNERS

How do concerned parents move beyond
bake sales and bulletin boards?

Share your voice, share your vision and be heard

The Williamstown Public Schools Parent Teacher Organization
(PTO) meets the second Thursday of each month in the school library at 7:00 p.m.

We value all perspectives; your opinions and comments are a vehicle to true education reform which leads to many academic and social benefits for our children.  Involving parents in the core work of teaching, learning, and developing mutual accountability for student achievement continues to be a challenge.  Parents need to be informed of school issues. The PTO is where to begin.

Schools cannot meet these challenges without connecting with parents and the general community.  A shared decision making process empowers families to participate fully in many school decisions.

Do you know what decisions are being addressed in your school?

Are you satisfied with what you know?

Please let us know what you are thinking by attending our monthly meetings.  We are here to listen and share your perspectives to our educators, administrators and School Committee when necessary.

The purpose of the Williamstown Parent Teacher Organization is to enhance the education and life experiences of the student body by providing programs and planned events that bring into a closer relationship  the home, the school and the community at large; fundraising events; and a forum for parents, educators, administrators and community members to openly discuss issues relating to our school.

JOIN THE PTO FOR OUR MONTHLY DISCUSSIONS
AND HELP US TO ACHIEVE OUR GOALS.
