Goal
#1 Curriculum
Establish a consistent, coordinated, and enriched
curriculum PK-6.
Publish guidelines for planning, designing, implementing, evaluating
and communicating curriculum.
Complete development of the writing curriculum by developing
writing benchmarks by grade-level.
Implement, evaluate and communicate the social studies and
health curriculum.
Make recommendations for the feasibility of a world language
program based on successful models.
Goal
#2 Technology
Integrate and expand the use of technology to
enhance teaching and learning
Implement student technology standards and develop staff
technology standards.
Continue to implement and evaluate "First-Class" e-mail among
staff and faculty.
Create/pilot classroom-based lessons that integrate new technologies
within the curriculum.
Mentor WEET (Williamstown Empowering Educators in Technology)
grant teachers.
To begin to post information electronically and make communications
(forms, homework, issues) available to the
school community.
Provide training on software and "mapping".
Goal #3 Special Education
Improve collaboration and coordination between SPED and regular
education.
Design and implement a cite that allows regular collaboration
time regarding individual student needs.
Include SPED teachers in grade-level planning, meetings and
collaboration.
Design clear, consistent policies, procedure, and expectations
for SPED within the context of the whole school
environment.
Work
with a Sped consultant to include on-going evaluation of delivery
models and sped services.
Goal
#4 Building Community
Build a school community which fosters mutual respect.
Cultivate a sense of pride and commitment among all members
of the community.
Develop opportunities for greater interaction among staff.
Develop and coordinate systems that enhance internal and external
communication
To
provide opportunities for collaborative team-building and creative
problem solving for staff.
