Williamstown Public School is unique residing in a brand new, state-of-the-art 88,000 square foot facility in the center of Williamstown. The new school building was recently recognized as one of the state's first energy
efficient Green Schools. It is a one school district consisting of 550 students in pre-K through grade 6 and a staff of approximately 100 teachers and support personnel. The school is known for its commitment to small class size. Our class sizes range from 17-20 students. We have approximately 4 classes per grade including two pre-kindergarten classes. Seventh graders attend the regional middle/high school, Mount Greylock (also located in Williamstown).


The Williamstown Elementary School administers the California Achievement Tests to children in grades 5 and 6 each spring. The tests measure children's abilities in reading, language arts, mathematics, spelling and study skills.
